All of North Oakview celebrated Dot Day, based on the book "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds, during the week of September 15th. This day was to celebrate creativity, can-do attitudes, and give students the opportunity to "make their mark". Art classes created their own "stained glass" dots that are being made into chains to hang in the library.
But dot activities were happening all around the building, not just in the Art room. In the library, students learned more about the author Peter H. Reynolds and read another book called "Ish".
Students played dot-themed games and exercises in P.E.
There is even a Dot song that was learned in music class.
You can see our positive, can-do attitude activities all through the halls of North. What a great start to the year!
So great to see the Elective Courses working together to enhance student learning! Love how engaged the students look :)
